Bryan Reedy Grabs Top Five Finish in First Race of 2021

Bryan Reedy and the Reedy Racing Team ventured to Motor Mile Speedway on Saturday April 10th to begin their 2021 race season. The schedule for the day included two sixty lap races for the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series competitors.

Bryan laid down a 16.37 second qualifying lap in the Wood’s Service Centers Inc., DCT Towing & Recovery, Mobility Plus Inc. of VA, Faye Curren MKB Realtor, Chris Kocher MKB Realtor, Pro Line Trailers, Jersey Mike’s of Roanoke, Euro Specialty Inc., Miller Brothers Racing, Sports Haven, Barker’s Auto Salvage, Base Racing Fuels & Oil, Kevin’s Signs, Hedgecock Racing Enterprises, Clarke’s Automotive Race Engines Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. The lap of record would place him ninth in the starting order for the first sixty lap race.

The third generation Daleville, Virginia driver drove his way up through the field during the event. A hard fought battle with many drivers ended up rewarding Bryan with a fifth place finish.

"We struggled the past few day in our test sessions. We decided not to partake in the Friday evening test. We spent the evening in the shop going over the car and our notes to come back Saturday with what we felt was the best combination from our previous test days. We still have some things to figure out but we are pleased with how things turned out Saturday. Having a race under our belt gives us a good idea of the direction we need to head" said Bryan.

Mother Nature intervened and the second sixty lap race was postponed.

The team will be appearing at Sports Haven at 7541 Williamson Rd in Roanoke on Sunday April 18th from 1-4pm. The event will also be attended by Virginia Tech offensive lineman Christian Darrisaw. The projected number one draft pick in the 2021 NFL Draft will be signing autographs. More info about how to get a package with Darrisaw can be found at the Sports Haven Facebook page or the Sports Haven website.

The next scheduled race for the team will be Saturday April 24th at Motor Mile Speedway. Green flag is scheduled for 3:30pm.
