Bryan Reedy Continues Streak of Top Five Finishes

The Reedy Racing Team and driver Bryan Reedy continued their 2021 racing season at Motor Mile Speedway on Saturday May 8th. This would be the first night race of the year.

After a productive test session on Thursday prior to race day, the team was optimistic for the twin 60 lap races that were scheduled. More changes were made during the two 15 minute practices before qualifying.

Bryan wheeled the Wood’s Service Centers Inc., DCT Towing & Recovery, Mobility Plus Inc. of VA, Faye Curren MKB Realtor, Chris Kocher MKB Realtor, Pro Line Trailers, Jersey Mike’s of Roanoke, Euro Specialty Inc., Miller Brothers Racing, Sports Haven, Barker’s Auto Salvage, Anchor Truck Accessories, Base Racing Fuels & Oil, Kevin’s Signs, Hedgecock Racing Enterprises, Clarke’s Automotive Race Engines Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 to a 16.44 second lap during the qualifying session. That would place him fourth of the cars in attendance.

A track mandated redraw placed Bryan in the sixth starting position for the opening race. He hustled the car during the event to finish fourth. The team went to work to improve for the second feature.

Adversity struck when the crew found a right front tire going flat before lining up for the second race. As per track rules, Bryan would have to forfeit his fifth place starting position and line up tail of the field because of the tire change. The driver made his way through the field to finish fifth and keep his streak of top fives to start the 2021 season alive.

The next scheduled race for Bryan and the team will be May 22nd back at Motor Mile Speedway.
